67% property tax increase & it didn’t even make the City’s report

So both Councillor Troy Davies and Mayor Charlie Clark have previously come out and said they would help curling rinks. Now that one curling rink is getting an astounding 67% tax increase just this year, Mayor Clark is talking about helping for-profit airports and hotels and lumping that into not-for-profit public service curling rinks. I don’t think he’s taking this very seriously, do you? Hopefully there will be a federal election called soon so that Mayor Clark can move onto his next best job and can leave us alone. We need a leader and whatever he is doing, it’s not leadership. But even at that, he’s done more than Councillor Troy Davies has since 2018. With his big press statement in January, Troy Davies still has not found time to meet even once with curling rinks in all these years. Perhaps the rinks could pretend to have a photo op with a ribbon cutting ceremony to get Councillor Davies’ swift attention?  After all, that is when his attendance record is at its best over the past years!
